About the role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated QA Analyst to join one of our Scrum Teams. As a QA Lead, you will be line managing a team of QA Analysts and SDETs in Lebanon as well as playing a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by covering functional and non-functional requirements during testing. You will be responsible for building career development plans for your team members, creating test strategies and test plans, coordinating releases, and identifying areas for improvements in existing testing processes.

What you’ll do

• Line manage a team of QA Analysts and SDETs by providing mentorship, technical guidance, and career development opportunities to team members.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages knowledge sharing, cross functional collaboration, and high-performance.
• You will analyse existing QA processes and methodologies, identify areas for improvement and automation, and implement best practices to optimize testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop, implement, and perform comprehensive test plans and strategies that cover both functional and non-functional aspects of software.
• Guide the SDETs in developing and maintaining automated test suites, selecting appropriate testing tools, and integrating automation into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Use Test design techniques to create comprehensive test cases for complex requirements. Collaborate with Product owners, developers, QA Analysts and SDETs to achieve the best test coverage via the utilisation of manual and automation testing.
• Define and track key quality metrics to measure quality of the software, the effectiveness of our testing and development processes.
• Actively participate in various meetings such as daily standups, sprint planning, refinement, retrospective, and root cause analysis and contribute to the team’s decisions.
• Become a key member of the development team by validating sprint work and release candidates.
• Become a Subject Matter Expert on the product.
• Identify potential risks and challenges at all stages of the SDLC.
• Own environments deployment for the test execution.
• Conduct investigations to gather additional information and localise bugs. Write clear and concise bug reports and steps to reproduce.

What we’re looking for

• Demonstrated experience of line managing QA team members.
• Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• Proactive and results-driven, with a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
• Experience with testing desktop, web, and mobile applications.
• Experience with testing backend services, APIs, and DB. A good understanding of one or more querying languages, such as SQL.
• Experience with configuring and using virtual machines and setting up backends would be beneficial.
• Experience with Cloud (e.g., Azure) would be beneficial.
• Experience with working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding and experience in using Automated Testing tools.
• A basic understanding of programming languages like C# due to the technical nature of the role.
• Strong experience in working with complex requirements and systems.
• Strong experience with executing functional testing and non-functional testing.
• Experience with performance and security testing would be beneficial.
• Experience with creating and implementing test strategies and plans.
• A good understanding of QA metrics and their purpose. Ability to identify actions to improve the metrics.
• Ability to identify dependencies and risks at all stages of the SDLC.
• Ability to identify methods to improve test processes and to drive implementation of the changes.
• Good knowledge of agile frameworks including SCRUM and Kanban.
• Ability to communicate own ideas to other teams and to drive their implementation.
• Ability to provide reasonable test estimates.
• Ability to articulate technical issues.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Desire to continuously learn.
