What you’ll do

BigHand is working to become a cloud native provider of SaaS products. To support this goal, as a Technical Architect, you will: -

• Work with development teams and other architects to deliver our BI products in the cloud and on-premise.
• Work with development teams to deliver our connector and data strategy.

Contribute to BigHand’s overall architectural strategy and lead areas of strategy around: 

• BI Product Architecture.
• BigHand’s overall Data Architecture.
• 3rd Party integrations with customer systems for the import and export of data.
• Hosting data and BI applications on our cloud platform.
• Support product development by working with product owners, development teams, and stakeholders to define and deliver the architecture required to for new features and functionality.
• Work to define and drive adoption of best practices and architectural standards.

What we’re looking for

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience of designing and delivering scalable solutions on-premise and in Microsoft Azure.
• Experience of leading the delivery of data warehousing, BI and reporting. applications that deal with data volumes of 500Gb – 10Tb.
• Experience of working with multiple development teams in a large development organisation.
• Experience in validating and testing large data sets.
• Experience of applying best practices for data governance and security.
• Excellent communication skills. Able to explain concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent design skills. Able to break down business requirements into an incrementally deliverable architecture.
• Be able to program in at least one general purpose language, with a strong preference for C#.
