About the role

As a Software Engineering Lead, you will lead a Scrum team in the design and development of new and existing BigHand products. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality software, mentoring team members, and ensuring adherence to Agile practices and technical standards.

What you’ll do

• Line management of direct reports.
• Lead the design and development of new software products and services.
• Maintain and enhance existing BigHand products and services.
• Act as the technical lead on projects, providing design guidance and ensuring alignment with architectural vision.
• Contribute to architectural and design decisions.
• Ensure adherence to department processes such as code reviews and merging.
• Drive Agile practices and continuous improvement within the team.
• Mentor and support team members in their technical and professional development.
• Promote a collaborative and productive team environment.
• Lead by example in all aspects of software development and team leadership.

What we’re looking for

• Strong knowledge of the Scrum framework and Agile methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a development team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and quick learner.
• Experience with C# .NET 4.x, Object-Oriented Programming, and Service-Oriented Architecture.
• Proficiency in Web Services (WCF, RESTful), MVC, HTML5, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
• Strong SQL skills with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Experience with testing frameworks NUnit and Moq.
