About the role
This role sits within the Brand team and reports directly to the Brand Strategist. The role is based in London, with an expectation of being in the office two days per week.
The Motion and Graphic Designer will play a key role in bringing BigHand’s brand to life through strong visual storytelling, motion graphics, animation, and video. The role will support the rollout of BigHand’s new brand visual identity and help modernise how the brand shows up across all channels.
Working closely with the wider marketing team, this role will translate complex ideas into engaging visual content that supports brand and campaign objectives. This is a fast paced environment and the successful candidate will be comfortable working at speed.
What you’ll do
Visual storytelling: Understand BigHand’s positioning, messaging, and brand principles, and represent these through exceptional visual storytelling across motion and static assets.
Brand design: Support the rollout of the new brand visual identity across marketing assets and channels.
Video, animation and motion graphics: Produce high quality video, animation, and motion content for a corporate audience that enhances marketing effectiveness.
Thought leadership reports: Develop visually engaging and modern thought leadership reports, transforming complex data into clear and compelling animated infographics.
Video editing: Edit and colour grade video footage to a professional standard.
Creative storytelling: Bring creative ideas that transform content into engaging and impactful visual stories.
Brand and design
Apply and support the enforcement of BigHand’s brand and design guidelines across all creative outputs.
Maintain brand consistency in visual language across campaigns, channels, and materials.
Developing brand assets
Take briefs from marketing stakeholders and translate them into visually compelling PowerPoint presentations.
Design campaign assets including launch videos, banners, social assets, ads, emails, social selling templates, and collateral for both web and print.
Support website design by collaborating with digital and content teams to ensure strong visual execution and user experience.
Create infographics that simplify complex information and data with clarity and engagement.
Collaboration
Work closely with Brand, Demand Generation, Product Marketing, and Content teams to deliver creative work to agreed timelines.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while working independently and collaboratively, demonstrating strong time management and consistently meeting deadlines.
Continuous improvement
Stay up to date with design, motion, and video trends, tools, and best practices.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve creative quality and efficiency.
What we’re looking for
6+ years of agency or in-house graphic design experience, preferably in B2B. Agency experience and experience working with technology brands is desirable.
Experience in motion design, video, and graphic design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating visual storytelling across motion and static assets.
Proficiency in industry standard design and motion tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, InDesign, and Illustrator.
Ability to manage multiple projects with exceptional time management skills while working. independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
Strong communication skills and confidence working with marketing stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
Experience creating sales documents and establishing brand guidelines.
Experience designing for both web and print.
Experience managing staff or vendors.
