About the role
Are you a Software Engineer who cares deeply about quality? Someone who believes testability is a first-class citizen of great software design? If you are excited by automation, clean architecture, and building products that genuinely solve customer problems, this role is for you.
We are looking for a Senior Software Developer in Test to join the team responsible for integrating data from client and third-party systems into BigHand’s cloud platforms. You will be at the heart of ensuring our solutions are robust, scalable and built with quality from day one.
As a Senior SDET, you will be the engineering champion for quality, designing, building and owning automated tests across the entire testing pyramid. From low-level component tests to API integration, performance testing, and UI end-to-end tests for desktop applications, your work ensures our engineering teams ship fast, reliably and with confidence.
You will also help shape the future of test automation within the organisation. You will influence strategy, evolve frameworks and coach others to write better, cleaner and more maintainable tests.

Owning quality within your team and ensuring we deliver high performing and reliable software

Leading test planning, scheduling and progress updates across projects
Continuously developing your technical skills in both the product and test technologies

Championing Agile ways of working and setting a strong example through delivery and behaviour.
What we’re looking for

Strong experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases and application architecture.
Deep experience with test automation frameworks and tooling.
Ability to build automation across the full testing pyramid.
Experience using mocking frameworks and designing for testability.
Skilled at debugging, reviewing and improving automation code.
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Hands-on testing of desktop, web and mobile applications.
Knowledge of Agile, Scrum and BDD practices.
Understanding of QA metrics, reporting and the role of AI in quality engineering.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
